THE JOURNAL “DUNYA ADABIYYATI” OF THE WRITERS’ UNION

The Writers’ Union of Azerbaijan has always promoted the development and popularization of the translation art. In different years the Union rendered its assistance to the translation of the pieces of world literature into Azerbaijani and of the Azerbaijani writers’ best works into foreign languages.

At present the journal “Dunya Adabiyyati” - the publication of the Union - is involved in publishing translation works and contributing to the popularization of translation.

The journal gives preference mostly to the translations from the original, and in each of its issues presents new translations.
