“AZERBAIJAN İNTERNATIONAL”
“Azerbaijan İnternational”
dünya azərbaycanlıları ilə bağlı
məsələlərin müzakirəsinə həsr olunan
müstəqil jurnaldır.
Jurnal 1993-cü
ildə Sovet İttifaqının dağılmasından az
sonra, Azərbaycan müstəqillik qazandığı dövrdə
fəaliyyətə başlamışdır. Həmin vaxtdan rüblük
jurnal kimi nəşr edilir. Jurnalın Los Ancelesdə və
Bakıda ofisləri var.
Təsisçisi və redaktoru Betti Bleyer, təsisçi naşiri Firuz Xanoğludur. Jurnalın hər nömrəsində mədəniyyət və sosial məsələlər mövzusu üstünlük təşkil edir.
2007-ci ildə jurnalın
15 illik yubileyi qeyd olunmuşdur.
“Azerbaijan İnternational” Azərbaycan
ədəbiyyatının təbliğinə xüsusi
diqqət yetirir. İndiyədək jurnalın dörd
nömrəsi (1996, 1999, 2004, 2006-cı illərin bahar
nömrələri) ədəbiyyatımıza həsr
edilmişdir. Bəzi istisnalar olmaqla, bu materialların heç
biri bu vaxta qədər ingilis dilində nəşr
edilməmişdir.
Stalin rejiminin
ədəbiyyatımıza vurduğu zərbə də
jurnalın aparıcı mövzularındandır.
“Azerbaijan İnternational”
müstəqillik dövründə yazılmış
Azərbaycan ədəbiyyatı nümunələrini də vaxtaşırı
öz oxucularına ingilis dilində təqdim edir.
Jurnalda dərc olunmuş
məqalələr Azərbaycana həsr edilmiş birinci
veb-səhifələrdən olan AZER.com-da da yerləşdirilir.
2000-ci ildə Azərbaycan
ədəbiyyatından və dilindən bəhs edən
AZERİ.org
saytı yaradılmışdır. Burada demək olar ki, 400-ə
yaxın Azərbaycan ədəbiyyatı nümunəsi
(qısa hekayələr, poeziya, dram əsərləri və
romanlar) yerləşdirilmişdir ki, onların da 270-dən
çoxu ingilis dilinə tərcümə edilmişdir.
Bütün materiallar
geniş oxucu kütləsi üçün
açıqdır.
“Azerbaijan International”
jurnalının yaratdığı digər saytlar:
AZgallery.org
(1999) və HAJİBEYOV.com (2001).
Yeni -
ALİ-NİNO.com saytının
yaradılması planlaşdırılır.
Aşağıda “Azerbaijan International” jurnalında dərc olunan tərcümələrin siyahısı verilir:
